The whole river is beautiful and picturesque, with many easy sections but there are several sections where it becomes more challenging. It is a spate river and as a result rises and falls very quickly, so giving more fishing time than most rivers of this type.
There are three stretches, with parking, making up the whole. These are Hillmoor Farm, Bank Farm and North Rode Farm.
All stretches are regularly stocked with brown trout up to 14" in length. This last season we introduced 600 stockfish in two stockings.
The North Rode stretch is much more wild than the other two. We have, over the past few years, also introduced young fish in an attempt to increase the indigenous population of the river.
